Nanofiltration is a membrane technology that removes calcium and magnesium ions (water hardness) along with other contaminants such as color, bacteria and some organics. Using a semi-permeable membrane that filters particles around 0.001 micron, NF effectively softens water while reducing other impurities — without the sodium addition required by traditional salt-based softeners, making it more environmentally friendly.
Applications
Municipal drinking water softening, groundwater nitrate/color removal, dairy and beverage concentration.
